A Jain basadi at Moodabidri dated to 714 CE: a rectangular building of three mandapas on carved pillars leading to the sanctum, with a manastambha erected before it in 1615.

A Jain sage is said to have seen a cow and a tiger drinking together in the forest here, and digging at the spot uncovered the Parshvanatha image around which the temple was built.
