A late-medieval brick sikhara temple about 18 m high near Gourangapur, now an ASI monument of national importance. Its windowless sanctum holds no image and traces of plaster survive on the outer walls; scholars date it to the sixteenth or seventeenth century, well after the chieftain whose name it carries.
Tradition says the local chieftain Ichai Ghosh raised the temple in honour of the goddess Bhagabati.
