A Buddhist temple in the Kotmale valley whose garbhagriha held the principal Buddha image and whose walls carried paintings of the Buddha's life and the Jataka tales. It was abandoned in 1979 for the building of the Kotmale dam and drowned when the reservoir filled in 1985, one of some 54 religious sites lost with 57 villages.
