A Shiva temple on the Karaikkudi–Aranthangi road holding two lingas, whose goddess shrine to Prasannanayaki is dated to the 13th century. The complex has the usual sequence of garbhagriha, artha mandapa and maha mandapa.
Two asura brothers, Perunjeevi and Siranjeevi, were told by Vishnu to worship Shiva together here; the deity is also called Padikkasunathar after a tale of abhisheka milk poured here appearing on the steps at Kashi.
