A Shaiva temple in Piramanoor village near Tiruppuvanam, built in Pandya style over roughly 78 cents of land with shrines to Ganesha, Murugan, Vishnu and the Navagrahas. Pradosham and Karthikai are its chief observances.
Brahma is said to have carried a lingam here from Mount Kailash and worshipped at the spot in penance after his dispute with Vishnu over supremacy, giving the village its name.
