History & significance

A small medieval sandstone shrine of about four metres beside the Manikarnika tank embankment just outside the Kapilesvara temple compound in Bhubaneswar; still in worship, it was repaired by Odisha State Archaeology and is looked after by the Kapilesvara Trust Board.
