History & significance

A Bhadrakali temple on the bank of the Pamba in Chengannur taluka, one of roughly thirty temples of central Travancore where the ritual art of Padayani is performed each year. The four-armed image is carved in wood, and shrines to Karimkali, Yakshiamma, Rakshassu and the naga deities stand alongside.
