A hilltop Buddhist temple at Aluthgama in the Kalutara District, founded in 1734 by Karapagala Dewamitta Thera. Its precinct holds a stupa built in 1935, a relic chamber, an image house with Kandyan-era frescoes and a Bodhi tree reckoned over three hundred years old, and a seated Buddha 48.8 m high in bhumisparsha mudra, finished in 2007, now dominates the site.
