A Shaiva complex at Karon in Deoghar district made up of twenty-eight temples, the principal one holding the Karneshwar Shivalinga and twenty-seven subsidiary shrines around it. Maha Shivaratri and Durga Puja are its main observances.
The site is named for Karna, remembered as the ruler of ancient Karon in Angadesh, who is said to have installed the Shivalinga here to worship Shiva.
