History & significance

A Rama temple in Velur panchayat, Thrissur district, with a rectangular shrine under a domed and tiled roof and sculpture entirely in the Kerala idiom. Consecrated by the Azhvancheri Thamprakkal and long held by Azhvancheri Mana and later Avanaparambu Mana of Kiralur, it now runs under the Cochin Devaswom Board through the Nelluvai Mullakkal Devaswom.
