History & significance

A Theravada temple of the Khmer community in Sóc Trăng, first built in 1533, whose sanctuary holds a 6.8 m image of Gautama Buddha erected in 1916 with funds from the family of Lum Sum. It mixes Corinthian pillars with Khmer ornament and was declared a historic heritage site in 1990.
