A riverside Shiva temple at Legship in western Sikkim, grown up around a stone lingam found at the site, with subsidiary shrines to Rama and Durga. Bala Chaturdashi and Maha Shivaratri are its principal festivals, and pilgrims come with prayers for children and for health.
Shiva is said to have appeared here to Arjuna in the guise of the hunter Kirateshwar and blessed his penance with success in the Mahabharata war.
