History & significance

A Venkateswara temple in the village of Keelapatla near Palamaner, where the deity carries the local name Konetirayudu. It draws pilgrims travelling the Chittoor district route towards Tirumala.

Sthala katha — the legend

Local tradition says Venkateswara set his foot at Keelapatla first, before going on to Tirumala.
