An 18th-century Kerala-style temple at Kootayanimoodu in Vellanad panchayat, Thiruvananthapuram district, dedicated to the goddess Chamundeswari, a fierce form of Durga.
The goddess is said to have been brought forth by Durga to kill the demons Chanda and Munda, and was blessed to be worshipped ever after as Chamunda.
