History & significance

An 18th-century Rama temple near Thanjavur, one of the 88 shrines of the Thanjavur Palace Devasthanam administered by the Tamil Nadu HR&CE department. It preserves shaligrama sculptures presented to the ruler of Thanjavur by a king of Nepal, and its walls carry painted episodes from the Ramayana.
