A Shiva temple on the bank of the Ghaghra at Mahadeva village in Barabanki district, whose lingam is reckoned among the rarest of the 52 associated with the Shakti Pithas. It is the kuldevta shrine of the Lodhi Rajputs, and a well beside it is known as the Pandav-Kup.
Tradition says that when Parashurama was destroying the kshatriyas, the surviving Lodhis appealed to their deity, who told them to lay down weapons and take up the tools of agriculture.
