History & significance

A Shiva temple at Kalanjoor in Pathanamthitta district, recorded as at least 1,100 years old, which carries the unusual feature of two adjacent copper-clad flagstaffs because both Mahadeva and Sastha are enshrined. Its 60-foot gopuram is approached by eighteen steps, and it lies about 80 km southwest of Sabarimala.
