Ooty, Nilgiris district, Tamil Nadu · 11.4121°, 76.7127°
A hill-station temple beside the Ooty market, unusual in enshrining Mariamman and Kaliamman together, and one of the best-known Hindu shrines of the Nilgiris.
Local tradition tells of two divine sisters who came from the north to the market; sheltered under a tree, they vanished in a flash of light, and the townspeople built the temple where it happened.
