A slate-roofed shrine built over a deep well on the bank of the Beas at Mandi, honouring the princess Mandarava. It is venerated by Tibetan Buddhists and Hindus alike, linking the town to the Padmasambhava tradition centred on nearby Rewalsar.
Legend says the king condemned Mandarava and Padmasambhava to a seven-day fire, and when the smoke cleared a lake had formed with a lotus at its centre, convincing the king of the master's power.
