मुंबादेवी
Mumbai, Maharashtra · 18.9500°, 72.8300°
The temple of the goddess from whom Mumbai takes its name, first built by Koli fishermen at Bori Bunder and re-established at Bhuleshwar after the original was destroyed in the mid-18th century.
Parvati is said to have taken birth as the fisherwoman Mumba among the Koli people, and to have stayed on as their village deity at their request.
