A Perak temple founded in 1962 as a Kaliamman shrine, reordered in 1964 so that Mariamman became the principal deity, and registered under her name in 1967. A wholly new temple was begun in December 2006 and consecrated at its kumbabishekam in December 2010.
What follows is the temple’s own traditional account, transmitted through liturgy and local memory. It is recorded here as tradition, not as attested history.
Devotees hold that the eagles which circled overhead during the 2010 kumbabishekam were Garuda, Vishnu's mount, marking the new temple with divine assent.
