History & significance

A Shiva temple on the western bank of the Lingaraja west canal in Bhubaneswar, built of ochreous sandstone carved in the Kalinga manner. Local tradition credits it to the Kesari rulers; it remains in worship and in generally sound condition apart from surface decay.
