A Shiva temple at Adambakkam in Chennai, near St Thomas Mount station, unusual in that the presiding form is Nandi standing before the sage Bringi rather than a linga. The article gives its age as roughly 950 years; a local attribution to a Chola patron is unverified.

Shiva is said to have appeared here to the sage Bringi in the form of Nandi, and the adjoining hill, once called Bringi Malai, came to be known as Parangi Malai.
