History & significance

A 7th-century Shiva shrine raised on seven rocks of the Jagamanda hills at Padmapur, where a rock inscription connects the site with the Buddhist logician Dharmakirti. Three further Shiva temples on the same hillock have made Padmapur a local pilgrimage and tourist centre.
