A goddess shrine on the bank of the Kaveri about two kilometres from Srirangapatna on the road to Sangam, raised some three to four centuries ago under Wodeyar rule and fronted by a seven-tiered rajagopuram.
Her name joins nimisha, a minute, to amba, mother, from the belief that she grants boons within a minute; she is said to have helped King Muktharaja against demons.
