History & significance

A goddess shrine at Edava, a few kilometres north of Varkala in southern Kerala, described as one of the older Devi temples of the region. Its ten-day Karthika Thirunal Mahothsavam, held in the Malayalam month of Kumbham, is the main annual festival.
