A cluster of three Jain shrines at Bhelupur in Varanasi — a Digambara temple, a Shvetambara temple and the Parshvanatha–Padmavati temple. The Digambara shrine's worshipped black stone image of Parshvanatha, about 75 cm high, belongs to a group of sculptures found here dating from the 9th to 11th centuries CE.
Jains identify Bhelupur as the place of three of Parshvanatha's kalyanakas — his conception, birth and renunciation — in the city his father King Ashvasena is said to have ruled.
