History & significance

A small grey-sandstone shrine to Parvati in the old town of Bhubaneswar, near the Lingaraja temple, built in dry masonry and dated by its materials to the 14th century. Its pidha deul with a porch carries Dravidian decorative elements alongside the local Kalinga idiom.
