A centuries-old Shiva temple near Edappal in Malappuram district, counted among the 108 Shiva temples of Kerala, with a west-facing sanctum of the square Kukkudakruthy form; it was rebuilt in 2010 and keeps Maha Shivaratri as its chief festival.
The lingam is said to have been installed by the sage Parashurama.
