A Shaiva shrine in Jhanda Bazar honouring Sri Ratan Nath of the Nath sampradaya, reopened after some sixty years of closure and, with the Kalibari Mandir, one of the only Hindu temples in daily use in Peshawar. Its chief observance is Maha Shivaratri and it is looked after by the Pakistan Hindu Council; a government-posted guard was shot dead at the premises in January 2016.
