A Vaishnava temple in Ramapuram village counted among the 108 Abhimana Kshetrams and the principal shrine of the Nalambalam circuit of four temples to Rama and his brothers. It is administered by the Ramapuram Devaswom trust of three Nambudiri families.
Rama is said to have meditated here during his exile, with Lakshmana, Bharata and Shatrughna meditating at the three neighbouring sites that became their own shrines.
