A ninth-century Shiva shrine about two kilometres from the Lingaraj temple, known locally as the Mausi Maa or aunt's temple of Lingaraj. During the Ashokashtami festival Lingaraj is drawn here on the Rukuna Rath chariot and stays four days.
It is said that on returning from Lanka, Sita asked Rama to worship Shiva at this spot, and Rama set up a linga for the purpose.
