A Digambara Jain temple at Sanganer near Jaipur dedicated to Rishabhanatha, whose last building phase an inscription of V.S. 1011 places in the 10th century; it is among the older Jain shrines of the Jaipur region.
What follows is the temple’s own traditional account, transmitted through liturgy and local memory. It is recorded here as tradition, not as attested history.
It is told that when thirty-nine Jain images were recovered from the temple after Muni Sudhasagar's visit in 1999, yakshas in the form of snakes were found guarding the hoard.
