A Shiva temple in the Sasthamangalam ward of Thiruvananthapuram, dated by surviving records to more than seven centuries ago. The kings of Travancore worshipped here regularly, and it is now run by the Travancore Devaswom Board.
A woman sharpening her knife on a rock is said to have made it bleed, revealing a Shiva lingam, and the temple was raised on that spot.
