History & significance

A 7th-century Shiva shrine in the Chandrabhaga temple group at Jhalrapatan, to which a pillared hall was added in the 10th century; its columns were praised by James Fergusson, who surveyed the ruins in the 19th century. The original shikhara has collapsed and the rebuilt sanctum now carries a flat roof with a small dome; it is a Monument of National Importance (N-RJ-71).
