A Buddhist temple at Balapitiya in the Galle District, headquarters of the Mulaghandi sect of the Amarapura Nikaya and a protected archaeological monument since 6 June 2008. The doors and windows of its dhamma preaching hall follow colonial church design, with two wooden stairs rising to a balcony that runs round the inner hall.
