A rekha deula at Sundarpada in Bhubaneswar dated by its architecture to about the 13th century. Villagers raised funds to install a new Shiva lingam in April 2013 after the old one decayed, and the shrine is run by the Sri Sri Dadhivamana Sundaresvara Mahadeva Trust Board under the state Endowment Department.

Local tradition credits the temple to the Kesari (Somavamsi) dynasty and specifically to Yajati I, the builder of the Lingaraja temple.
