History & significance

The only surviving Swaminarayan temple in Pakistan, spread over more than 32,000 square yards on M. A. Jinnah Road in central Karachi; Gujarati merchants built a Swaminarayan shrine here in the 1890s, and the walled complex also shelters a gurdwara used by the city's Sikhs.
