History & significance

A goddess temple on the Puzhakkal river at Thanikkudam in Thrissur, run by the Cochin Devaswom Board. It is one of very few temples where the monsoon flood is allowed into the sanctum to submerge the idol, and devotees bathe in the floodwater beside it during that araattu.
