History & significance

A Divya Desam that survives as the Adi Varaha Perumal shrine within the premises of the Kamakshi Amman temple, beside the goddess's sanctum. Its Lakshmi image is unusual in facing the deity in a worshipping posture, and the shrine bears the Vamana vimana.
