History & significance

A temple at Engandiyur in Thrissur district housing Maha Vishnu and Shiva in separate east-facing sanctums. It is one of the 108 famous Shiva temples of Kerala and is managed by the Kattumadam Devaswam Trust.

The Shiva lingam is held to be swayambhu, self-manifested, and installed by the sage Parashurama.
