Thiruvaloor, Alangad (Ernakulam district), Kerala · 10.1187°, 76.3088°
A Kerala-style Shiva temple in Thiruvaloor village in Alangad, Ernakulam district, with a shrine to Ganapati and an adjoining subsidiary kavu, Keezhanikavu, holding Vishnu, Bhagavati and the nagas. Shivaratri is its main festival.
The idol is held to be an agni pratishta, with Shiva's third eye open, and the pond due east of the sanctum is said to have been dug to cool the fire that would otherwise harm people.
