History & significance

A Shiva temple on Triplicane High Road in Chennai, also called Thirupattinam and counted among the Vaippu Sthalams sung by Appar. Hymns of Pamban Swamigal and Ramalinga Swamigal are inscribed here, and stucco panels depict the six abodes of Murugan.
