Goalpara district, Assam · 26.0496°, 90.6322°
A hilltop Shakta shrine in Goalpara district counted as a Shakta pitha, where a fragment of the goddess Sati is held to have fallen. Its name comes from the Assamese tukura, a piece or fragment.
When a grief-maddened Shiva danced the tandava with Sati's charred body, it came apart and its pieces fell across the earth, one of them at this hill.
