A Shiva temple on the Tungareshwar plateau above Vasai, more than 2,000 feet up, with a shrine to the goddess Khodiyar Mata beside it and a linga ringed by a brass serpent. Mahashivaratri and the Mondays of Shravan bring the largest gatherings and a communal feast.
