An ancient Buddhist temple at Uruwala in the Gampaha District, formally protected by the Sri Lankan government as an archaeological site. Its old sacred fig tree stands within a rampart, and the temple is held to have belonged with neighbouring shrines to a single monastic complex of the early Anuradhapura period.
