A Vishnu temple near Aluva whose idol shows the god embracing Mahalakshmi, so that worship here is addressed jointly to Vishnu and to Lakshmi in her eight forms. After a long decline under its early Brahmin custodians the temple's standing was restored through the intervention of Vilwamangalam Swamikal, and the Tambula Samarpanam offering remains its central rite.
