विष्णु प्रयाग
Vishnuprayag, Uttarakhand · 30.5625°, 79.5753°
The confluence of the Alaknanda and the Dhauliganga, and the first of the five Panch Prayag confluences on the Alaknanda. A Vishnu shrine stands beside the meeting of the rivers on the road to Badrinath.
The place is named for a belief that the sage Narada meditated here and Vishnu appeared before him.
