An ashram site at Bisaul village in Harlakhi block, Madhubani district, held to be the Mithila residence of the Vedic sage Vishwamitra and dedicated to the Gayatri Mantra he is credited with.
Vishwamitra is said to have halted here overnight with the young Rama and Lakshmana on their way into Mithila, where the brothers first saw Sita in a nearby royal garden.
