History & significance

A west-facing Shiva temple on the northern bank of the Puzhakkal river at Viyyoor in Thrissur district, beside the Kodungallur-Shoranur highway. Ganapathi, Sastha, Kali and the serpent deities are worshipped as sub-deities, and Maha Shivaratri is the chief festival.
